Traditional hands-on wine making methods were used at every stage of the process of making these wines. Low yields, hand picked, and hand plunged fruit in open fermenting vats allow the intense colours and flavour of the fruit to speak for itself. Minimal intervention in the natural processes allows good fruit to become fine wine.
Cornella Ridge Heathcote Shiraz 2006
Lots of interesting things to smell and taste - an intriguing nose of chocolate, mint and black fruit being the main ones. Sensitively oaked, it’s nice and dry on the palate with attractive soft tannins and vanillan oak. Just above medium bodied with good freshness and very drinkable, although not especially deep. It has gained further complexity since being in the bottle. Very nice wine. Good value and authenticity.
